Arizonia Community Closing in on Catholic Radio
We got an email from a friend of Carmel Communications today about a new Catholic Radio endeavor in Payson, AZ. We would like to share it with you today, in case you are looking for a place to donate some dollars this Lent.
Rim Catholic Evangelization Association (RCEA), a 501(c)3 tax exempt, Arizona Non-Profit Corporation recently announced the receipt of two important donations to help bring Catholic radio closer to implementation in Payson, Arizona.
Deacon Tom Fox, President of the RCEA announced the January, 2015 receipt of a $10,000 donation from His Excellency Gerald Kicanas, Bishop of the Tucson Diocese. Within a few weeks, RCEA received another $10,000 donation from the pastor and parishioners of St. Philip the Apostle Parish in Payson. Both of these contributions were gratefully received as foundational to begin engineering and implementation activities for the new Rim Catholic Radio.
In a press release, Deacon Fox announced the following: “We are so thankful to Bishop Gerald Kicanas for his enthusiasm for seeing Catholic radio brought to our community. And then, for our local parish to match the donation from the Diocese was actually more than we dreamed. We are still seeking another $25,000 to help us achieve our plans for a June activation of Rim Catholic Radio. We will help bring the Truth of Catholicism to many who don’t know or are confused about the beauty and the teachings of our Faith.”
RCEA has a corporate mailing address at 1303 Red Baron Rd., Payson, AZ 85541. They have also established a GoFundMe account, accepting donations of any amount. The web address to make donations is here.
