Pray the rosary with your Sisters

Dominican Sisters of Mary honor the Queen of Angels on their second album

ATLANTA, Nov. 7, 2014 – The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist received an outpouring of affection from across the globe following the release of their 2013 Billboard chart-topping album, MATER EUCHARISTIAE. The Sisters return with a new offering from their community entitled THE ROSARY: MYSTERIES, MEDITATIONS AND MUSIC, slated to be released by De Montfort Music on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014.

The album will transport you back to the Dominican Sisters of Mary’s Ann Arbor chapel and help you experience their beautiful and pure renditions of the spoken prayer of the Rosary, as well as their own original mediations, set to their own sacred music. The recording also will feature three newly recorded tracks and some original compositions and arrangements by the Sisters themselves.

“In keeping with our deeply held desire to share the beauty of Christ through Mary, we were thrilled to join forces with the very special Dominican Sisters of Mary to release this incredible offering of the various prayers of The Rosary, including an exact ‘how to,’ as well as original meditations and music from the Sisters,” said Kevin Fitzgibbons co-founder De Montfort Music.

“We are grateful to God for the opportunity to release this recording of the Rosary!” said Sr. Joseph Andrew Bogdanowicz, O.P., foundress and vocation director. “From St. Dominic to the present day, the Rosary has brought many souls to peaceful contemplation of Jesus and Mary. It was a great blessing to pull together the various wonderful elements of this project, from the meditations, the music and, of course, the prayers themselves. We wish all hearts to know while they are listening that we are praying for you!”

The Sisters may be recognized due to their multiple appearances on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” and the extensive publicity they have received in the U.S. and Canada via media outlets such as “CBS This Morning,” NPR, The New York Times, the Detroit Free Press, The Washington Post, CNN and “Fox & Friends,” among numerous others. The Dominican Sisters of Mary placed in the finals of The American Bible Challenge, hosted by Jeff Foxworthy, on The Game Show Network.

“The Rosary is my favorite prayer — a marvelous prayer!” said Pope St. John Paul II.

About the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist

Canonically established in 1997 by John Cardinal O’Connor of New York, The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist are a young, vibrant community of consecrated women. Their pattern of life is inextricably bound up with the monastic observance given to them by their Dominican tradition. They espouse the common life,

cloister, times and places of silence, the choral Divine Office and daily Mass. They participate in an active charism of education and formation of the young, administering, and teaching in small, private Catholic schools, including the Spiritus Sanctus Academies in Michigan. The founding of the Dominican Sisters of Mary was and remains an all-embracing “yes” in response to the Church’s need for laborers to enter the vineyard to plant, water and yield souls for Christ. Through the witness of their vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, and a life of prayer and of apostolic service, the Dominican Sisters of Mary seek to transform the world for the good of souls.
