‘Do You Believe? Canadian Theatrical Release Date Announced
Largest Independent Faith and Family Studio Announces March 20 Release for Highly Anticipated Follow-Up to God’s Not Dead
ATLANTA, Feb. 23, 2015 – Pure Flix, the creators of the massively successful film, God’s Not Dead, in partnership with Mongrel Media, has announced the national Canadian theatrical release of their new film, DO YOU BELIEVE? on March 20, 2015. DO YOU BELIEVE? is slated for initial release in up to 35 key cities across Canada (locations to be announced).
DO YOU BELIEVE? exposes a dozen souls all moving in different directions, longing for something more. As their lives unexpectedly intersect in catastrophic ways, they each have the opportunity to believe in the power of the cross of Christ…but what will they do with it?
The drama features an ensemble cast of Oscar® recipient Mira Sorvino, Golden Globe® award winning actress Cybill Shepherd, SAG Award® winning Sean Astin, Lee Majors, Alexa PenaVega, Ted McGinley, Andrea Logan White, Brian Bosworth and Delroy Lindo. It is written by Chuck Konzelman and Cary Solomon, the same writing team as God’s Not Dead, and is directed by Jonathan M. Gunn.
“God’s Not Dead resonated with audiences because it explored and validated the existence of God,” said producer and actor, David A.R. White, “DO YOU BELIEVE? takes Christianity to another level … the power of the cross.”
A woman and her young daughter cope with being homeless, a pastor and his wife live with infertility, an older couple struggles to move past the death of their daughter from long ago, a soldier suffers with PTSD, a pregnant pro-life teen abandoned by her family, and an arrogant physician are all searching for hope. Audiences will experience the struggles and transformations of these lives as they encounter the redemptive power of the cross.
Within a culture where Christians can be labeled as intolerant and many have abandoned their faith, comes a film that reminds believers of the price paid for their salvation, and what is required to live as a true disciple who stands firm on their faith.
